誰もいない 山奥の沼で
ひっそりと 咲いている
― ヒツジグサ ―
土砂降りの 激しい雨が
水面を 荒々しく かき乱していた
一輪は
雨に負けまいと 雨をまともに 受けていた
もう一輪は 少々痛そうに
顔を斜めに 傾けていた …
それでも 花たちは
素敵な笑顔を 一所懸命に 見せていた
私は 心の中で つぶやいた

A heavy downpour was churning the surface of the water wildly
One flower was taking the rain as hard as it came.
The other was tilting its face at an angle, looking a little pained …
Still, the flowers were trying their best to put on a beautiful smile.
