ヒグマが棲む 山奥の渓流に
桂の巨木が
ひっそりと 倒れていた
あまりにも壮絶な姿を
しばらくは
呆然として 見続けた
朽ち果てた巨体に
精気を宿した細い枝と
わずかな葉が あった
それらの葉は
周囲の紅葉に負けじと
色づいていた
懸命に
最後の色を 絞りだしていた
