家ごと雪に埋もれそうな
豪雪の山奥で
ひっそりと暮らす人がいる
ひと冬の降雪量は ゆうに4ｍを超える
あまりにも厳しい環境でも
ここで生まれ
ここで暮らしてきた人にとっては
ここが 一番いいのだろう
けれども
数年前から 家の明かりが点らなくなった
雪かきなどの重労働が困難になり
冬だけは 町の方で暮らしているという
私は今でも 明かりの点らない冬の光景を
撮り続けている…

There are people who live quietly deep in the mountains where the snowfall is so heavy that their entire house is almost buried under it.
The amount of snowfall in one winter is more than 4 meters.
Even though the environment is too harsh, for those who were born here and have lived here, this is probably the best place to live.
However, a few years ago, the lights in the house stopped coming on.
It became difficult to shovel snow and do other hard work.
They say they live in the town only in winter.
I am still photographing the scene in winter when the lights do not come on…
