北の果ての
６月下旬の 礼文島
この日の朝は
強風が吹きすさび 海は荒れていた
私は 風にあおられながら
花の名所の 桃岩展望台に立っていた
風の中で踊り続ける エゾニュウたち
島の背景には 暗いガスが 立ち込めていた
私が
水平線を探し求めたその瞬間
光が舞い降りて
輝く蒼い海に 化した
神がかりの 光景だった

※ 礼文島は「花の浮島」とも呼ばれるほどたくさんの花が咲き、レブンウスユキソウ（＝エゾウスユキソウ）などの固有種の花もある。

This is Rebun Island in late June in the far north.
On this morning, a strong wind was blowing, and the sea was rough.
I was standing at the Peach Rock Observatory, a famous flower spot, buffeted by the wind.
There was a flower of angelica ursine that kept dancing in the wind.
The background of the island was filled with dark gas.
I looked for the horizon, and the moment I did, the light descended and turned into a shining pale blue sea.
It was a divine sight.

※ The island of Rebun is known as the “floating island of flowers,” with many flowers in bloom, including an endemic species called Rebun usuyukisou（＝Ezo usuyukisou）
