東山魁夷画伯 が 描いた
一本の 白い道
画伯が 人生のどん底だった時
悲しみに負けずに
未来への一歩を踏み出した 記念碑の作品だ
まさか
北の大地で
その絵にそっくりな道に出会うとは…
私の心は 震えた
偉大な画伯を偲びながら
「道」を 凝視しながら
私は
この 白き道（※）を 描いた

※ 宗谷丘陵にある「白い道」は、稚内の名産である“ホタテ”の貝殻を砕いて敷き詰めてある。

I photographed this white path（※） in memory of a great painter, staring at the “path”.

※ The “white road” in the Soya Hills is made of crushed scallop shells, a specialty of Wakkanai, and paved with them.
