【モミジの子】(Children of the maple tree)

ブナの原生林の中で
モミジの子供が
育っていた

そのモミジは
気づかれずに踏まれてしまうかもしれないほど
小さな背丈だった

だが　
モミジは　頑張っていた
逞しいブナたちに負けないように
懸命に　
色づいていた

In beech primeval forest,
the maple tree’s child was growing.

The maple tree was so small in stature
that it could have been stepped on without being noticed.

But the maple was doing its best.
The children of the maple trees were trying hard to keep up with the robust beech trees, and they were turning colors.
