久しぶりに
山奥のヤマザクラに 呼ばれた
いそいそと 会いに行くと
まだ つぼみであった
― 私は 呼ばれたときに 出かけることにしている ―
けれども
ヤマザクラは
赤いほっぺをして
とびっきりの笑顔を見せてくれた
まるで
声を出さずに
嬉しそうに笑う 赤ちゃんのようだった

After a long absence,
I was called to the mountain cherry blossoms deep in the mountains.
When I rushed to see it,
I found it was still buds.
― I make an effort to go out when I am called. ―
But the mountain cherry showed me
its red cheeks and a big smile.
It was like a baby smiling happily
without making a speaking.
