― 寒風が 吹きすさぶ ―
冷気の中で
エゾジカたちは
凍り付いた 草を かじる
涙することなく
ひたすらに
凍り付いた 草を 食らう
食事にありつけるだけでも
しあわせと いうのか
シャリシャリシャリ と
冷たい音が
私の耳の奥に 響いてきた …

- The cold wind is blowing.
In the cold air,
the Hokkaido deer nibble on the frozen grass
No tears were shed
as they just ate the frozen grass.
I wonder if they are happy just to have a meal.
The cold sound of crunching echoed in my ears…
