古代ローマの遺跡のような
優雅な11連のアーチが
糠平湖に　ある
86年前に造られた
長さ130メートル　高さ10メートルの
この橋梁は
タウシュベツ川橋梁と　呼ばれる
渇水期の時期だけ　
湖面に姿を現す　この橋梁は　
風化が進み
いつ崩壊しても　不思議ではない
崩れ落ちる前に　一目見ようと
多くの観光客が　毎日のように　訪れる
これまで　
アイスバブルを撮りながら
遠くから眺めていた私だったが　
初めて　間近で　シャッターをきった

―　A work from a week ago　―
Eleven graceful arches, like the ruins of ancient Rome,
are located at Lake Nukabira.
The 130-meter-long, 10-meter-high bridge, built 86 years ago,
is called the Tausubetsu River Bridge.
The bridge,
which only appears on the lake during the drought season,
is so weathered that it could collapse at any time.
Many tourists visit the bridge every day
to catch a glimpse of it before it collapses.
I had been watching from afar while taking pictures of the ice bubble,
but this was my first time to take a close-up shot of the bridge.

湖の中に
すてきな氷の彫刻が　展示されている
だが
この芸術作品は
そう簡単に　見ることは　できない
凍える寒さの中で　雪の下に眠る
氷中都市を　探し当てなければならない
勘を頼りに　雪を掘り続ける
ようやく探し当てた後は
氷を磨かなければ　ならない
けれども
あまりの寒さに　氷はすぐに曇ってしまう
曇っては磨き　曇っては磨きを繰り返しながら
シャッターを　きる
朝日が射し込んだ時　絶景が現れた　…

A lovely ice sculpture is on display in the lake.
But this work of art is not so easy to see.

skin-achingly cold morning,
a miracle blooms on the ice.

Suddenly,
a few millimeters of ice crystals are born,

at 17 different places around Japan

Whenever I see the sunrise on New Year’s Day,
my heart is always solemn.

Mt Fuji, in particular,
is a special memory for me.

When I saw the mountain’s shape as if spiritual energy was gushing from its peak,
and the sun emerging from its base,
I was so excited …

The maple trees are dancing.
She dances a waltz in a gentle manner.

There are cherry trees that bloom from autumn to winter.
As cherry blossoms are my life-long photography theme, I am more than happy to see them!

Last week, I was depicting a feast of seasonal cherry blossoms and maple trees.　

Japan has a beauty unparalleled in the world in terms of the changes of the four seasons.
What a blessing it is to have the dreamy coexistence of cherry blossoms and maple trees, symbols of spring and autumn!

遡上を助けるために造られた
いろは坂のような
曲がりくねった　川の道

カサカサ肌の葉が
すてきな化粧水をいただいたように
喜ぶ

木々の葉が　化粧を進める
遅れていた紅葉が　一気に進み
とてもおしゃれな色合いとなり　
山肌が染まりゆく

Every rainfall brings joy to the leaves of the trees.
The leaves on the trees are as happy as if they had just received a nice lotion.

Each rainfall makes the leaves more beautiful.
The delayed autumn leaves change color at once, and the mountain surface is dyed in very fashionable shades.
