湖の中で
日本最大の面積と貯水量を誇る　
―　琵琶湖　―
その湖面に　
白鬚神社の　美しく神秘的な鳥居が
すっくと　建っている

遠く離れた海水浴場から
暗闇の中を　湖岸に沿って歩き続け
鳥居の前で　日の出を待つ

やがて訪れた　
爽快な　初日の出に
感動が　止まらない　…

On the surface of the lake stands the beautiful and mysterious torii (shrine gate) of the Shirahige Shrine.

I walk along the lakeshore in the dark from the distant bathing beach and wait for the sunrise in front of the torii gate.

The exhilarating first sunrise eventually arrived,
and I couldn’t stop being moved …
